The day started out early with connecting our flights into Dallas. In Dallas we had a little time to eat lunch and then board the plane together for Guatemala City.
We arrived in Guatemala City and connected with our global partner, Davis. All 24 duffle bags were able to fit in the pickup truck and the team was ready to travel in the van to our hotel.
On the way to the hotel we stopped at San Martins to buy some sweet bread treats for the week.
We got to the hotel and settled in for the evening. We had a delicious chicken dinner and spent some time doing devotions as a team.
The darkness comes early in the evening at around 6:30 and we still needed to organize ourselves for the first service day. We retired to our cabins around 8pm to get some rest since we had such an early start to our day.
