We spent the day at the pools of Santa Teresita in the Lake Amititlan area. The facility had many pools that were naturally heated by thermal spring water. The pools were all set to different temperatures with the warmest one at 104-108 Fahrenheit. It was a relaxing day in which we could interact with the teens from the group in Guatemala.
We left for the airport about 5 hours before the flight leaves. There is at least a 2 hour drive because of traffic to plan for in our travel to Guatemala
We arrived at the airport and the immigration forms have been replaced with an online form.

We were able to spend some time to take some pictures at the cross that overlooks the city of Antigua.
We completed the remaining elementary classes this morning by sharing the story of David and Goliath. The children were offered the opportunity to accept Jesus after the explanation of the gospel. They made a craft and were given a bead bracelet.
The high school kids played wiffle ball with us by one classroom at a time. Afterwards the principal of the school assembled all the students along with our team and expressed his gratitude for us.
We finished our ministry at the high school this week. We also finished all the 5th and 6th grade classes too. We shared the story of David and Goliath, but the emphasis was placed on sin as our giant. We shared the bridge between God and man through the cross. Jesus is the only way and it is through grace and nothing we can do on our own to earn our way to heaven.
We had an english class and an activity that we placed small poster board material on the floor that represents sins. Two people work together to navigate through the field of temptations with one of them blindfolded.
We completed the elementary school today, grades k-6. We have only 2 remaining high school classes tomorrow afternoon. Since we are done with the classroom ministry, we are playing organized games with the elementary children. We are also finishing up on the service projects too.
We talked about search and rescue from a physical sense, but tied it into spiritual for the lost. We then had dinner and drive home in the pouring rain.
Our R&R started out at the overlook in Antigua. The team was able to spend some time doing some shopping before we had an amazing dinner at La Estancia.
We took the youth group from Guatemala on an outreach event to hike up Volcano Pacaya.
Today was morning ministry with K-6 and the work team finished a second set of backboards and started building a wall at the school. The afternoon was spent playing soccer with the high schools soccer
School Ministry
The team shared the gospel with K-5 grades today. The day starts out with a breakfast at the cabanas and then we take a small bus to the schools. We had a work project to do as well.
